10.07.2010  Samyang lenses distribution process to be changed

In order to provide the best possible quality of the customer service and improve quality of the technical service,  Samyang Optics Co Ltd announces that  significant changes shall be introduced into the distribution process of its products. Production of the Falcon lenses was ceased on 1st July 2010. All of our products will now be distributed and available only under brand name Samyang.   Delta company shall remain the brand’s distributor for Poland and Europe. Moreover, the company has undertaken to take over all warranty and service obligations of the previous Falcon distributor.

We are absolutely convinced that the aforementioned change shall positively influence the quality of customer service, availability of our products on the market, their sales levels and most importantly, it will increase Samyang customers satisfaction. We wish to strongly emphasize again that all photographers who own Falcon lenses will still be able to take advantage of the highest quality warranty and post-warranty service.

28.06.2010 Samyang 8mm fishi-eye lenses, 14mm f/2.8 and 85mm f/1.4 will now be compatible with Samsung NX system

Samyang company has announced that lenses with Samsung NX mount will be soon introduced to the market. Samyang 8mm f.3.5 fish-eye, Samyang 14mm f.2.8 and Samyang 85mm f1.4 with Samsung NX mount are to be available in the second half of September. The mount will widen the range of Samyang lenses which are already compatible with Canon, Nikon, Sony, Olympus 4/3 and Pentax systems.

Except the bayonet, all optical parameters will remain unchanged in the lenses. The abovementioned Samyang products will be available with manual focusing. Delta company, the sole distributor of Samyang lenses for Europe, has informed that lenses with a new mount will be available in the second half of September or in early days of October. The price will probably remain the same.

25.03.2010 Samyang photograhic competition is over!

Results of the photographic competition aimed at users of Samyang optics have been finally announced. The competition board comprising Optyczne.pl, SwiatObrazu.pl and official distributor of Samyang products in Poland, Delta company from Cracow, awarded the following photos:

The First Prize, Samyang 14mm f2.8 lens, went to Mr Jarek Magiera for his photo:
"... slow down duuuude!! "

Mr Łukasz Włosik came as a runner-up and received PLN 500 coupon for online shopping at www.foto-tip.pl. He was awarded for the photo:

"When the Earth is wrapped up in dreams..."

The third prize and PLN 250 coupon for online shopping at www.foto-tip.pl went to Mr Przemysław Jękosz for his photo "Andy’s birthday party". Moreover, the distributor of Samyang products, Delta company, decided to award a special prize for this photo; a multi-pack of beer!

Delta – General distributor of Samyang products in Poland

16.02.2010 Photographic competition organized for the users of Samyang products.

With a view to satisfy all photographers using Samyang products on regular basis, in collaboration with the Internet portals Optyczne.pl and Swiatobrazu.pl, we have prepared an exceptional competition. The first prize is: Samyang 14mm f/2.8 IF ED MC Aspherical lens for the camera model indicated by the winner. Second and third place are awarded with the coupons for online shopiing at www.foto-tip.pl. Respectively: PLN 500 and PLN 250.

Rules of the competition are simple and transparent. Register yourself on the website www.konkurs.samyang.pl and submit your photos taken with any Samyang lens. Photos may be submitted until 15 March 2010. All interested Internet users will be allowed to rate published photos until March 25. Ten photos with the highest rating will be presented to the Competition Board. The Board shall comprise representatives of the Internet portals Swiatobrazu.pl and Optyczne.pl as well as representative of the organizer. The Board will select a winner, a runner-up and a third-place winner. The laureats will be announced during the International Film Video Photo Fairs 2010 in ŁódĽ on the 27th of March 2010, as well as on the website

30.12.2009 Samyang 8 mm fish-eye and 85 mm f/1.4 with Olympus 4/3 mount

Samyang company has informed that new lenses: Samyang 8 mm f/3.5 fish-eye and Samyang 85 mm f/1.4 with a mount for Olympus 4/3, have been released to the market. The lenses complete the series of mounts designed for Canon, Nikon, Sony and Pentax.

Apart from adjusted bayonet, optics in the products will remain the same. Both lenses will be available with manual focusing. Delta company, the general distributor of the Samyang products, shall be responsible for sales in Europe. Both lenses will become available at the end of March 2010.

1.12.2009 New Samyang Video DSLR series

The number of video enthusiasts has been systematically increasing since the first digital camera with video recording function was produced. Exceptional possibilities created by the DSLR cameras with video capability, have attracted even professional photographers. To meet your expectation, Samyang company has designed unique lenses for DSLR video purposes.
Samyang Video DSLR lenses (85mm f1.4 and 8mm f3.5) are equipped with an aperture ring which enables smooth, no gradual adjustment. When recording video image, this function allows to obtain effects not attainable for standard cameras which provide a possibility to adjust aperture only from the camera level. Precise and perfectly calibrated focusing ring is another advantage of the product. Video DSLR lenses may as well be used in traditional photography.

Following Video DSLR lenses are currently available:

- Samyang 85mm f/1.4 IF MC Aspherical in Canon, Nikon, Sony, Pentax mounts

26.10.2009 T2 adapters with AF confirmation for Canon now available!

T2 Adapters with AF confirmation have been designed especially for Samyang lenses. This AF confirm lens adapter is useful for obtain an accurate focus for manual focusing. The viewfinder also indicates the focused area with a spot as well.

Adapter is compatible with every Canon camera except 5D and 1D series.

Notice: This adapter is to be sold only with Samyang lenses. Cannot be sold separately. All customers who already bought a Samyang lens from the distributor, please ask about availability.

08.10.2009 Samyang delays shipping of 14mm f2.8 lens

Samyang Optics has announced a delay in production of the new 14mm f/2.8 IF ED MC Aspherical lens. The delay is due to partial redesigning of the lens construction and further improvements. The lens will now be available in the first quarter of 2010.

16.09.2009 Samyang 14mm f2.8 IF ED MC Aspherical

Today Samyang Optics has officially announced the introduction of the new lens. Samyang 14mm f2.8 IF ED MC Aspherical will be released in November.

The lens is designed for both FF and APS-C cameras. Optical construction is based on 14 elements in 12 groups.

Main features:

- Two ED lenses and two hybrid aspherical lenses

- High quality anti reflecting layers

- Field of view: for 35mm is 114 degrees, for APS-C - 92,5 degrees (Canon-89 degrees)

- Minimal focusing distance: 0,28m

Samyang 14mm f2.8 IF ED MC Aspherical will be provided for main systems like Canon, Nikon,Sony, Pentax with bayonete mounting.
